No matter what your own diet is when you have kids your diet will have an effect on their life. While travelling with babies for the culinary purpose would have no impact on them as such, as they grow older it might be a great idea to get them to try various cuisines. Not only it will make them less fussy when it comes to foods, but it will also open up a whole new world to them in other areas too. from a different background to yours are an excellent way to experience something new with kids on your doorstep. You don’t need to hop on a plane, you get to meet another family, get an insight to their meal habits and your kid’s buds will be challenged. They might even make a friend or two. While many parents are now forced to bring up their kids away from their own family, it is becoming increasingly hard to adapt to the world of living without support and kids often are forced to grow up without cousins, grandparents and other family close by. This has more negative effects than positive, unfortunately.
Foraging foods with kids are also an excellent way to show kids where some foods come from and introduce them to nature and everything it has to offer. With many famous chefs foraging for food ingredients, it is not only the way to sustain our environment, save on food cost, but also a culinary trend that is only gaining popularity.
Not only your kids would love petting the animals, but you might also even talk to them how milk and burgers come about and other foods on their table, providing your family is not practising a vegetarian or vegan diet!
